hello. my name is colin.

I am a DP and Director that runs the operation here at f/aust film. I am dialed into the project leading you through the process in preproduction, filming and directing on set, and overseeing post production. I come from an advertising background where I spent 10 years a part of multiple agencies shooting spots for clients such as The University of Arizona, NASA, The FAA. Since starting f/aust film I’ve produced and directed spots for The Knot Worldwide, UCLA, NFL Network, and more.

So who is we?

When you work with f/aust film you have a network of producers, editors, grips, camera ops, and whomever we need to find to fill out your production. One story may be big and complex, needing a large team and others small and intimate. Most projects start with a team of two including myself as creative lead and a producer assigned to the project to run logistics. Once we come up with the direction we will build out the team with crew and post production.

This means the focus is on you.

By running productions this way we can focus on just a few projects at one time.

Film production is extremely involved, from the smallest choice in hair and makeup to the direction of the overall campaign. Flexibility is our strong suit and collaboration is the secret weapon.
